Snoring occurs when the upper airway tissues vibrate and they are making them breathe noisily while sleeping. It is the most common issue which one might face at least once in a lifetime especially during old age. However, there are snoring treatment and management programs that can help overall.

There are two types of Obstructive Sleep Apnea- 

Obstructive Sleep Apnea is a type of sleep disorder which occurs due to the blockage in the airways, it generally has links with Sleep Apnea. 

Central Sleep Apnea is another type of sleep disorder that is caused when the brain stops sending signals to muscles for opening the throat for effortless breathing.

Avoid alcohol and consumption that target relaxing the muscles of the throat. They can lead to snoring and alcohol also acts as an antidepressant. 

People should only use prescribed or over the counter sleep aids recommended by an authorized doctor. 

Relieving nasal obstruction 

Nasal congestion is often caused by inflammation in the chest. Medications and other techniques might also help in the removal of the congestion.
